new video clip: Control centre Munich Airport, AVTT
A sensational solution, the monitor wall that electrically moves up when the workplace is turned into a standing workplace.
Presented in the video clip: Control centre Munich Airport, AVTT
Planning/development and realization by the team of Ehmki, Schmid.
The task we were presented with was that as soon as the operator is standing and the control center workstation is moved upwards, the large-screen monitors placed on the wall are covered by the workstation superstructure due to the narrowness of the room. The lack of space in the control room made it necessary to find a completely new concept solution here. A solution that must be both ergonomic and suitable for everyday use. After intensive consideration by our technicians and designers, a completely logical solution was found.
The solution was actually very simple.
The entire monitor wall, i.e. all large-screen monitors, must electrically be moved parallely in a comfortable and safe way to the desired, height position. This ensures that the free view to the monitor wall is not obstructed. The development team at Ehmki-Schmid has implemented this with great commitment and technical sophistication.
A solution that ultimately convinced EVERYONE. Our customers, the Munich Airport Company and the AVTT department are enthusiastic and the team of Ehmki-Schmid is satisfied to have once again realized an innovative solution from the concept to the professional realization.

Configurator for control station furniture
EHMKI, SCHMID launches free online configurator for control station furniture.
Fahrenzhausen, October 10, 2016. On their new website, EHMKI, SCHMID has launched an online configurator, which allows customers to plan their own control station furniture. It enables users to create a professional room layout with control station furniture free of charge (royalty free), which is then optimized by EHMKI, SCHMID.
Planning your own control station in advance saves time and explanations
EHMKI, SCHMID's control station planner is a self-explanatory and easy to use online configurator. The tool allows customers, planners, system integrators or installation companies to quickly and easily pre-plan the interior of a control station This saves time and explanations and gives a more precise idea of the customer's expectations. The customer can send the nearly professional pre-planning to EHMKI, SCHMID by e-mail. In just a few days, he receives a photorealistic 3d rendering of his planning together with a first budgeting. It can be used by the customer for internal coordination, for instance. This service is free-of-charge as well.
What used to take hours, can now be realized in just a few minutes
You may wonder if professionalism does not fall by the wayside here. No, not at all! Similar to online kitchen planners, the customer can choose from a number of pre-configured furniture modules. These can be dragged onto a floor plan, which has been created in advance. All modules can be combined freely and turned into all directions. Table modules, drawer modules, connection modules, monitor wall modules, cabinets and 24/7 chairs - in every required size. Even conference tables are included in the control station planner. And by the way: EHMKI, SCHMID will check the sent-in pre-planning for compliance with legal standards and ergonomic regulations.
The control station planner is now available on EHMKI, SCHMID's new homepage http://leitstellen-einrichtungsplaner.ehmki-schmid.de/.
PROMOS monitor stand
Such attractive design does not have to be put in the foreground. The PROMOS large-screen monitor stand of the latest generation brings large flat-screen monitors in 50" to 90" format into the limelight. At the same time, the progressive, ergonomic design of the monitor stand presents itself as an eye-catcher. Behind the functional aluminum look there is a flexible and very stable aluminum and steel construction that allows the video furniture to be fitted into any room. This outstanding flexibility is made possible by modular dismountable system parts and patented technical details from EHMKI, SCHMID's Development Centre.
Thanks to the proven and specially developed modular system, economical "custom-designed" solutions can be realized as well.
The individual yet functional shaping without corners and edges and the exciting mix of materials, make this futuristic monitor column an eye-catcher in any modern conference or training room, in the foyer or on your trade fair stand.

RGB LED footwell lighting
The RGB-LED footwell lighting for control station workstations was developed by EHMKI, SCHMID for the professional 24-hour use. This modern workstation lighting does not only have a „futuristic” appearance but also offers considerable advantages for the operator or the controller.
Your staff is provided with a tool to adjust the direct ambient light autonomously and according to personal preferences. The light intensity can be dimmed and the color value can be adjusted individually.
The LED footwell lighting is bright enough to provide orientation in the room and enables the staff at the workplace to concentrate on monitoring and controlling processes, the core functions in an operations center.
Employees of an operations center consider this gentle lighting as very pleasant, especially at night and in the morning and evening.
The control or operations center will be optically upgraded and the colored footwell lighting creates a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere in the room, as recommended by occupational physicians and color psychologists.
