The task we were presented with was that as soon as the operator is standing and the control center workstation is moved upwards, the large-screen monitors placed on the wall are covered by the workstation superstructure due to the narrowness of the room. The lack of space in the control room made it necessary to find a completely new concept solution here. A solution that must be both ergonomic and suitable for everyday use. After intensive consideration by our technicians and designers, a completely logical solution was found.

The solution was actually very simple.

The entire monitor wall, i.e. all large-screen monitors, must electrically be moved parallely in a comfortable and safe way to the desired, height position. This ensures that the free view to the monitor wall is not obstructed. The development team at Ehmki-Schmid has implemented this with great commitment and technical sophistication.

EHMKI, SCHMID launches free online configurator for control station furniture.

Fahrenzhausen, October 10, 2016. On their new website, EHMKI, SCHMID has launched an online configurator, which allows customers to plan their own control station furniture. It enables users to create a professional room layout with control station furniture free of charge (royalty free), which is then optimized by EHMKI, SCHMID.

Planning your own control station in advance saves time and explanations
EHMKI, SCHMID's control station planner is a self-explanatory and easy to use online configurator. The tool allows customers, planners, system integrators or installation companies to quickly and easily pre-plan the interior of a control station This saves time and explanations and gives a more precise idea of the customer's expectations. The customer can send the nearly professional pre-planning to EHMKI, SCHMID by e-mail. In just a few days, he receives a photorealistic 3d rendering of his planning together with a first budgeting. It can be used by the customer for internal coordination, for instance. This service is free-of-charge as well.

What used to take hours, can now be realized in just a few minutes
You may wonder if professionalism does not fall by the wayside here. No, not at all! Similar to online kitchen planners, the customer can choose from a number of pre-configured furniture modules. These can be dragged onto a floor plan, which has been created in advance. All modules can be combined freely and turned into all directions. Table modules, drawer modules, connection modules, monitor wall modules, cabinets and 24/7 chairs - in every required size. Even conference tables are included in the control station planner. And by the way: EHMKI, SCHMID will check the sent-in pre-planning for compliance with legal standards and ergonomic regulations.
